Basal cell carcinomas are raised, transparent, pearly nodules that form on on the skin, usually on the face and other sun-exposed areas.
They appear most commonly on the faces of middle-aged or elderly people.
Causes of Basal Cell Carcinoma
As stated before, prolonged exposure to the sun is by far the most important factor. They may also occur in scars caused by x-rays, vaccination or trauma.
