This is the second most common form of skin cancer.
Squamous Cell Carcinoma will often appear as scaly red patches which may crust or bleed. They can be disfiguring and deadly (if left untreated)
Although they may appear on any part of the body, squamous cell carcinomas are common on areas of the skin that are frequently exposed to the sun such as the lower lip, neck, rim of the ear or top of a balding head.
Other common signs of squamous cell carcinoma may include “age spots” or change sin skin pigmentation.
If you are concerned about your skin, it is advisable to let a skin cancer doctor do a full examination.
